Kimberly Wilkins honored with Torchbearer Award
Kimberly A. Wilkins, a founding partner of the law firm Lewis and Wilkins LLP, was honored on January 22, 2008 at a celebration of the most influential women
leaders in the State of Indiana.
The Indiana Commission on Women honors top community leaders each year with the Indiana Torchbearer Awards. These awards are only given to those women who have made a difference in the lives of other women around the state by blazing new trails in their career fields and making the community a better, safer, and more supportive place for their gender.
Ms. Wilkins was chosen as a finalist in the social services category for her extensive work in the field of family law. She has contributed countless hours of pro bono service to the women at Sheltering Wings and acts as the parenting time coordinator for the family courts of the central Indiana area. Recently, Ms. Wilkins helped create the first program in Indiana for divorces with dignity- a new approach to peaceful separation. These accomplishments and much more demonstrate that Ms. Wilkins is truly a leader for other women in this State, making it an even better place to work and live.
