Sarah graduated from Miami of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and Spanish in 2003. After college, she spent a year teaching Spanish-speaking elementary children in the suburbs of Chicago , Illinois . Sarah graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2007. While attending Valparaiso , Sarah served as a teaching assistant and research assistant for the first year legal writing classes. During law school, Sarah worked for World Relief's Immigration Legal Services Department, a private immigration firm, and the Health Care/Public Benefits Project of the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago.
Before joining Lewis And Wilkins LLP, Sarah worked in private practice in Indianapolis and Brownsburg , Indiana . Sarah's primary practice areas are family law, immigration law and business law. In particular, Sarah has experience working as a Guardian Ad Litem and in dealing with the difficult issues of divorce, paternity and custody.
Sarah's experience in immigration law includes assisting foreign nationals navigate the legal system by obtaining non-immigrant and immigrant visas, adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum, and defense in removal proceedings.
Sarah is fluent in Spanish, having spent six months living in Valencia , Spain and having worked with the Spanish-speaking community throughout her education and career.
